Our Story

We partner with innovative companies, institutes and organizations to promote systemic, sustained improvements to the way health care is accessed and delivered. Through our unique approach we aim to generate substantial social returns and reinvest financial returns to drive long-term impact.

We are a 501(c)3 public charity that has introduced and is advancing a new model for corporate philanthropy: a public charity spinout from a corporation. This approach is significantly different from traditional corporate foundations and exponentially more effective at driving systemic change because it couples industry expertise with charitable dollars to amplify impact.

In addition to our expertise, we benefit from a deep bench of healthcare experts through our Board of Directors, Advisory Board, and founding company, Roivant Sciences. We are privileged to benefit from the infrastructure, talent, and networks of the Roivant Sciences ecosystem — all of which Roivant Sciences donates to RSV.

In bringing this new philanthropic model to life, we are demonstrating first hand that the best way for corporations to be agents of positive social change is to allow their employees to contribute their professional expertise and time to initiatives that can make a lasting impact in the world. 

We believe this model creates an ideal charitable vehicle for impact-minded philanthropists, because it couples donor dollars with expertise not normally available in non-profit organizations, and thereby amplifies the impact of charitable donations.
